    Tonight's episode on local tv:
    TOS "The Corbomite Manuever"
I love that in the briefing room scene, Uhura looks like she's falling asleep or goofing off.

Did they just forget about the impulse engines and auxilliary power?
The last crystal goes out and they are on batteries.

Encounter at Farpoint...oh, geez...it's horrible. Overacting, loud cheesy music...I'm sort of surprised that TNG made it past season one but with the lack of new Trek since TOS on tv people were willing to give it more than just a chance.

I like Encounter at Farpoint and season one in general. :techman:

I love EAF - a highly entertaining pilot from the finest season of TNG. The music is superb - and so, so preferable to the hitherto unimaginably dull, bland and mind-numbingly boring muzak that followed from roughly S4 onwards.

I'm the opposite. I'd rather have dull than overblown music. At least I can ignore the dull stuff. If it's over blown and bad I can't.

Well, with the user name Enterprise is Great, it's obvious your tastes could use a tweak.

    I kid. :p

DS9 - "Improbable Cause" and "The Die is Cast" I'd give the two-parter 3.5 stars out 5.

That's cool, totally respect your opinion. For me, the music in early TNG was far from overblown and actually added to the ambience of the show in no small way. Personally, the blandfest of later seasons drew my ear much more forcibly - but somewhat negatively.

    Voy Endgame.

A fast paced blur which ended too early really.

I usually give this one a pass because of the cheesy sets and aliens.

This is a great episode! Alien computer controlling the development of a culture. Enterprise in jeopardy. Spock gets whacked by poisonous plants, forcefields and lightning. Red shirts biting it left and right. And there is some of the best banter between Spock, McCoy and Kirk too.

Star Trek Nemesis. Doesn't technically count as an episode, but since I don't remember what I watched before that.
