I hope it's okay to post this here but I don't think this is any ordinary Youtube Video. I honestly don't think it's possible for this guy to get any cooler or more amazing. I watched this coming to work on the train and actually had tears in my eyes. Just beautiful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaOC9danxNo
That's so badass. I would absolutely sing that if I ever got a chance to go to space. Great video, thanks for sharing.
That's was awesome, in the original meaning of the word. After I watched that, I clicked on the video of him and Catherine Coleman doing "Ride On" in a tribute to Sally Ride. That brought a few tears...
Yes, someone on my Facebook friends list had posted this, indicating that he is the best thing to happen to NASA's Public Relations in a very long time. I have to agree, as I haven't paid a single bit of attention to anything NASA related until the Hadfied/Shatner tweet. After that I started to pay close attention. I hope we hear more from Commander Hadfield when he comes back to Earth!
Absolutely! I can't remember the last time I was this proud of (and pleased for) one of my countrymen! Hubby and I were watching a Q&A between Commander Hadfield and some school children. Hubby was amazed at how well he was able to answer the questions at the kids' level without seeming to talk down to them. I'm sure he will inspire many children to pursue some form of science career!
It's amazing and he does more than give it justice. Awesome cover. And it's not the first time he's done this. He's been known to be quite the musician. There's one of his uniquely designed guitars on display at the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum in Ottawa. And just recently, shortly before he took over as Commander, he wrote a song and performed it together with Ed Robertson of the Barenaked Ladies: [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvAnfi8WpVE[/yt]
^I was thinking that too when I saw them! Although there still weren't as many as there were in the film.
This. I have been following that guy on Twitter for some months. He is very interesting to follow. His pictures and videos are really great.
