That's like the cost of two or three beers on a night out... or a takeaway meal.... cut something else superfluous out of you life and replace it with another! :techman:

Its more to do the the principle of paying to play one game online than the cost really, even though those screen shots look great.

Its probably because i look at it like this, for the price of 12 months XBlive and 12 months online play for this game i could pay my TV licence, plus i am a very casual gamer now, even XBlive when it runs out in May is gone for good.

No your right, im a tight ass...

OK Haggis, miss out then! :p

I decided to take a visit to DS9 this evening. Here are a few holiday snaps! :D

If anybody wants me to visit a familiar Trek destination and post some snaps (Andoria, Risa... etc), let me know and I'll oblige!

    Whoah.
    Great Shots!

How long did it take you?

by the way. What do I have to do to get another ship? Still flying around with my Custom Miranda, the USS Atlantis.

You can get to DS9 now then if you want! just navigate to all the adjoining sectors until you get to it.... the badlands is there too in all it's glory!

To get another ship, you need to reach level 11 and have spent over 6000 skill points on your ship!

You have to reach Lt. Commander rank.
Once you do that, go to Earth Spacedock for a chat with the admiral, then to the shipyard section and to the turbolift above it in order to requisition a new ship of your choosing (I got to pick it for 1 energy credit as a reward for reaching the rank in question ... my theory is that you will likely get the same thing).
So you can pick between 3 categories: Cruiser, Escort and Science (you can check out the various ships in the displays and info on each class before you make your choice though), and your desired career does not limit you to the class of ships you can choose.

Not entirely correct, I reached the rank of Lt. Commander but couldn't get a ship upgrade... you need to have spent the 6000 skill points as well!

Spending skillpoints is also a given of course.
You get skill points and then simply put them in progressively.

As a side note, I did NOT get a ship upgrade. I got to choose a separate ship in addition to my existing 'modified' Miranda type starter ship for just 1 energy credit and later on I could choose between ships.

    @Timofnine

Did you try actually going through the Bajoran Wormhole? I assume Gamma Quadrant is off limits for the time being?

Yes I tried to fly through! Just come out the other side though haha... I think that they are saving it for an expansion pack maybe??? it was funny, I was sat there waiting for it to open with about 5 or 6 other ships, then when it did we all raced towards it and laughed with each other when we got through to the other side and found we hadn't actually gotten anywhere!!:guffaw:

So you did enter it and got the Inside-Wormhole-Visit-the-Prohets-Living-Room-Effect but just arrived at DS9 again? :)
