Awww ... very cute! TheSeeker, Gimli looks absolutely content!

Here are a couple photos of our kitten, Indigo, courtesy of my daughter, who got a Canon Powershot for her 7th birthday in December (she loves taking cat pictures):

Aww. I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad we could put a smile on your face!

That is really crisp. Did you apply any extra sharpening or is your lens just that good?

Thanks. The lens is the Canon 18-135 STM kit lens that comes with the 70D. But while it is the entry-level lens, I've been very impressed with it so far. I also process all of my images in Lightoom 3 (I shoot in RAW), so I did apply some sharpening in post. Also, shrinking the image from its original 5400 x 3600 size to the 1620 x 1080 size I use to upload at flickr adds a bit of sharpening to the image. And I imagine there's even more sharpening when flickr further reduces the size to the 800 x 534 I posted here.

So yeah, really good lens, and several processes that increased the sharpening.

    ETA:
The ISO for that shot is 6400, which just goes to show that my camera also helps maintain the quality of the image.

^Those are really great shots, Ancient Mariner!:techman: Not just the image quality, but also the moments you capture. Very nice!

I dug up a few older photos of my cat Anda and did some minor editing:
