It's a cool idea, but it contradicts the information provided in the Voyager episode "Flashback." Tuvok's initial Starfleet posting was aboard the Excelsior. There's no mention of his serving aboard the Enterprise, and as less than a year had passed since the events of The Undiscovered Country, he would almost certainly have been on Excelsior during Generations. He certainly could have been playing another Vulcan character, however. Perhaps Tuvok has a long-lost identical twin. --Sran
In the Generations movie end credits he is referred to as simply "Lieutenant". Gah it's over. What to watch next?!?!? Lol. I really liked Generations...seeing Kirk and Picard together was awesome.
You're right. I did double-check the screen captures, and he clearly has human ears and facial features, so it's likely he was playing a character other than Tuvok. --Sran
Speaking of The Final Frontier, there is apparently a group of fans who want to see Sybok appear in the next nuTrek film. --Sran
Watching Insurrection now just because I didn't fully finish it last time. I might watch TFF after. Marathon <3 I like the DS9 references in Insurrection~~
That was a nice touch. It was later reciprocated through dialogue between Weyoun and Damar. I like it when the writers allow for overlap between series, something that did not happen often enough. --Sran
Don't forget the Quark cameo that was (thankfully) left on cutting room floor. Sunday Trek marathons are a wonderful thing.
Hehe I saw it twice...and I'm already in my pjs, however they do have 2009 Abrams on demand. I could watch that.
Yeah...personally I've had a horrible past few days because of stupid crap that's going on in my life so this is nice. Which movie was supposed to have a Quark cameo?? Insurrection?
Quark traveled to the Ba'ku planet wanting to build a spa or something. I think the footage showed up someplace. (SE DVD maybe?)
That scene would have been so wrong. The whole point was that the Ba'ku wanted to live alone and undisturbed. The Federation was intruding on their lives in order to make a profit. Having Quark show up at the very end as a joke would have meant that nothing changed and that the Ba'ku were doomed sooner or later anyways.
Gotta disagree. I'm a shameless TOS partisan, but I even I won't go that far. TFF is the bottom of the barrel as far I"m concerned, and First Contact is immeasurably better than it. Hell, Insurrection and Generations are better than TFF. (I don't feel qualified to comment on Nemesis, since I've only seen it once, several years ago.)
