Hey Jim, got a couple of pics to help answer your questions. The first from the lower right corner of the Saladin blueprints.

The second is from the Enterprise Bridge blueprints. It doesn't give exact dimensions but it has a scale so maybe it will get you in the ballpark.

By the way, I Photoshopped an Ajax bridge plaque but it's on my computer that 's now in storage. I'd could dig it out if you'd like me to send it to you.

I wanted to clarify this. My job is building the studio, I have very little to do with the production. Because we are opening the studio to other fan films we have separated the studio and production into two different projects. To put it simply, I'm building the set for Ajax Studio, the first production to use the studio is going to be Starship Ajax.

Since I don't have things like story writing, casting, costume... to worry about I can and should get the details as close as I can, but believe me there is plenty of small details that I'm letting slide by.

Depends on what it is and whether it needs to come to the production in Oklahoma City or to Jim the "Prop" Builder in Vermont. If you don't want to discuss it here email me at richard@starshipajax.com.

This sounds more like a prop issue.

    Thanks guys...all good stuff.

So, any ideas about where she was built? I'm wide open to suggestions...but let's try to keep it cannon...

    Keep it "cannon?" :wtf:

    Oh, canon.

If you want starship shipbuilding facilities, there actually aren't that many to choose from in The Canon.

Jim, that blueprint clip says she was built in San Fransisco. I know that blueprints aren't cannon but I'd suggest, to keep things from getting confusing, we follow the trend already started. But that's just me.

This actually gets me wondering about how they built ships,er, uh, are going to build ships. These days one company makes all the same type ships at one ship yard. I have been assuming they do this in Trek Land too but maybe not. Is there any mention of say a Galaxy class ship being built anywhere other than San Fran?

I believe that most Galaxy class ships were built in Utopia Planitia on Mars.

    San Fran it is!

My pile gets bigger and bigger...gotta make a ray generator, commissioning plaque and a few more goodies for our "Guest Aliens"...

And then there's all those masks and hands to mold...and paint...and detail...

...and then I have to look over the script for the vigniette to see if I missed anything.

Wait til you see Starbase 14 guys! It's unlike anything you've seen before! :wtf:

As far as i know, The Support Crew is continuing to
work at a steady pace on the Captain's chair and Navigator/Helm
consoles (what we affectionately call the Command Module).
It's not easy work. We are actually fixing it up so all the buttons
& lights work. More pics to come, but probably not for the next
    couple of weeks.
