^^^ Was thinking that as well - she spends way too much time there.

I suspect we'll be seeing the majority of the following season watching Tyrion meandering about Essos to get to her after he gets out of King's Landing. And that is likely not going to happen until at least 2/3 of the way through this season. His parting scene with daddy should be awesome.

Well, the real reason Martin has kept Dany away from Westeros for so long is because he probably realized the dragons made her too powerful and she'd end the story too quickly. He either had to find a way of killing her dragons (which would leave her more or less powerless) or just keeping her away.

Dany was never going to get to Westeros all that quickly. When the series was a trilogy, her landing there was planned for the end of book two.

Yeah but now it's book five and Dany isn't anywhere close to getting to Westeros.

Dany's involvement in Meereen is the result of a kind of awkward series of revisions to the original plan for the series. As the first book in the trilogy (A Game of Thrones) expanded into two and then three books (A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords), he devised the idea of a five-year gap to allow certain characters to age, etc. Ruling Meereen was Dany's holding position for the gap, and the fourth book would open with a recounting of what had happened there. But Martin (correctly, I think) decided that the five-year gap really didn't work for a number of stories, so it was junked.

There are fewer and fewer Stark posters each season.

Tormund seems an odd choice to me. Same with using Oberyn, whom nobody will be familiar with yet. Even book readers will have to be told that's Oberyn Martell.

Part of the campaign to build up how awesome he is before he appears on screen, I suppose. Book readers are already aware of his greatness.

The Dutch HBO twitter posted Melisandre and Daario posters. Daario is not a main cast member this season - he gets that status in season 5 - but they obviously want to promote the Dutch actors. The Oberyn poster first appeared on HBO Latin America twitter.

Oddly enough, the Mel and Daario posters have "All Men Must Die" in English, rather than "Valar Morghulis".

There will be fewer Lannister posters next season. The Starks will stay the same. At least for the time being (I have no idea how they'll play Jon's "death" and his inevitable comeback).

I feel that Game of Thrones just need This to make it even more interesting.
