    Devious Maids is filling.

More accurately Mark "Desperate Housewives" Cherry's Devious Maids.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2226342/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

I was just the other day wondering whatever became of Anna Ortiz? Then I swooned, then I wondered, then I looked her up and swooned again.

Not so much with the comedy this time compared to Desperate Housewives, sure there's scathing satire but no sign whatsoever of outright slapstick, but maybe that's what you have to resort to when all your leading actress is good for is falling over naked into wedding cakes... It Happened THREE TIMES! I love Terri Hatcher god bless her, but come on, she's had three Hollywood life times enough to get some gravity to her resume and hasn't. Although, it's takes some effort to climb your way up from being a Bond Girl back to respectability.

    Anyway.

Anna Ortiz was the bossy older sister Hilda from Ugly Betty.

    Up to speed?

So, a nobody Maid gets murdered in the first 60 seconds of the pilot, and it's a whodunnit from then on where any one could have a motive, and Anna's character is on the case, but we don't know why she's on the case, only that the one thing that this woman is most certainly not is a "maid" as she intersects her way into this venomous world of the haves and the have nots to find the bloody handed murderer.

    There is no narrator.

The dead maid at the beginning is not the narrtor.

    "Phew"

    Quite fun.

The real question is "How little do I sleep?"

No. I don't think that's the real question at ALL.

You're not talking about my viewing habits any more are you?

Have you ever seen Twitch City?

It's a sitcom about a bloke hopelessly addicted to television and getting as much of it on video tape as possible for posterity. The TV Guide is a bible to be feared and glorified, whereafter he has to be stationed and mounted, ready and perched waiting for each and every airing of all his loyally followed programming, and fuck real people.

I haven't been that person since before the millennium.

The TV doesn't tell me what to do any more.

You know how when you want to watch something at 8pm, and you decide that you might as well sit down for three hours and watch the house renovations crap and cooking game show crap on in between where you are and where you want to be?

    Well I don't do that.

Dvdrs as a much as the internet have changed all that.

Yeah, I get that. I get to pick and chose when I watch a show. Still my DVR only about 27% right now. Most of that is stuff I watched but haven't deleted.

What does it mean for something to be "fulling"?

    It's a typo.

    Should be filling.

As in the Miller Beer advertising campaign where two people are arguing over whether they like Miller because it has more taste or because it's less filling.

(They don't even sell Miller in my country. That's how good the ad was.)

You have 5 minutes to fix the spelling in the thread title before it locks.

    I noticed after 7.

    Curious?

Has anyone else bumped into the pilot yet?

    I wouldn't say "extreme".

The pilot has his room mate hit by a car and dying, but he won't ring an ambulance until his talk show is over.

    Even the ads are important.

    Heh.

Sounds like my childhood, on steroids.

I was one of those "latchkey" kids that spent too much time glued to the tv, in the absence of any adult supervision when I was growing up. (Very little to no homework in those days, or I didn't bother doing much of it). Everything that was "important" to me in those days, was on the boob tube after school and prime time. It was as if I knew more about tv show characters, than my real life family and friends.
