[inside joke] No T-rexes in TNZ, but we do have one set of T-rex arms. [/inside joke]

And we do fight with them all the time, so this is a pretty accurate reenactment.

The biologist in me frowns upon the use of the phrase "T-Rex." ;)

But anyway... speaking of T. rex:

Something I concocted just this evening, Feel free to pass it along and "bomb" threads that are getting a bit, uh, "passionate" about what constitutes "accepted" or "official" Trek material.

    Sincerely,

    Bill

Heh. "Let it go" is actually in the script too! Only it was said to Indy by his dad a few seconds later.

aww, the filter at my office doesn't allow my browser to display that pic :(

I am not certain if it counts as a thread bomb but I just found this and I think it's just great (Plus it fits the Trek pic motif) :

Sir Patrick is one of the kindest class acts in the business. Both fandom and the world are fortunate to have him with us.

well, he was not very kind to his wife of several decades when he dumped her for a far younger woman (don't recvall the year now but it was near the end of when they shot TNG. Last season or the one before it, I think). I used to like him quite a lot before that, but I have to admit that the way he treated his wife somewhat dampened my respect for him.
Still, it's sweet of him to treat his fans in such a gentle way.

^You know, this really doesn't belong in Threadbombs. If you want to discuss this, go to Gen Trek or something.

yes it does, but in this specific case the separation was not exactly in mutual consent nor in good style (he made a few very much not gentlemanly remarks if the tabloids quoted him correctly).
Of course that doesn't diminish his merits as an actor or his personal qualities. He is just generally such a nice person that at that time it felt as if he was kindof acting out of character. I think many fans were as shocked as me.

I'm a fan, and this is the first I've heard of it, because I'm a fan of his work, not his life.
