Has it? I read a study once that said [IIRC] 'Sesame Street,' with it quickly edited chaotic style, actually interfered with learning and created generatioins of kids who couldnt concentrate. IIRC, the study also said shows like 'Mr Rogers' were actually better for developing minds.
My mother let me watch Mr. Rogers but kept me off the Street for that very reason. Overprotection? Maybe, but I can't fault her reasoning.
We didn't watch any US imports. Our idea of a treat was watching a beardy hippy with big specs standing in front of a diagram on Open University.

I don't have any issues with concentration and neither do my kids and we've all watched Sesame Street.
Penn State Takes Down A Photo Of Elmo Being Given A PSU T-Shirt: Penn State University appeared to make private a photo on their Flickr feed Tuesday of Elmo receiving a Penn State T-shirt during a visit to the university in March. Those guys at Penn State can't catch a break...
Here's an idea. Why don't we just ask the second guy suing Clash over the same charge what he thinks?
Surely that should be "I grew up on Sesame street in the 70s and I have no problem... uh... What was I saying?"
Wasn't the second guy 15 when he had his sexual encounter with Elmo, and came foward because of the first guy who came forward?
We won't know if it's true or not until this thing goes through the courts, assuming these complaints have enough merit to make it that far. All we know is that Clash resigned (probably, forced out) because this is a big distraction Sesame Street doesn't need. Whether it is true or not, these allegations will likely be drawn out in the media for months to come, and he had to go.
$125,000 hush payments don't usually happen when the accuations are not true... So, anyone think he used the Elmo voice while having sex with these kids?
*cough* I'd also add "NINJA'D," but I don't think that counts when the other post was made three pages and eight days ago.
NEVERTHELESS, I stand by what I said. As I wrote, I'm disappointed. I see nothing wrong with NOT rushing to judgement.
