That's what I was thinking. The original poster simply has no clue what he/she is talking about. :techman:

Then you should probably go back and reread your original gibberish, because it comes off as quite racist.

Hollywood is going to continue to do what is does best: make money.

Does the OP realize that Zorro was created by an American author and first published in an American magazine and first made into a movie by an American studio? Dora the Explorer is also an American TV show.

I don't live or work in "Hollywood", but are the studios there really staffed by people who only speak Chinese and Spanish?

    So you only like americans.

people not from america don't do quality work.

even if they become american, they are still incapable of quality work.

except all the times you say do.

repeating yourself a bit now, we get it, only americans can do quality work.

except you have. repeatedly. and sadly he won't see this post :( :

man this guy really has a hard-on for blockages.

question: if someone quoted this, would he see it?

Most of Zorro 2005 was filmed in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. The point I was making is Hollywood is too expensive to shoot along with all its other issues. Producers are eager now to move their tv or film to Mexico and Canada or even South Africa

Hollywood being over-priced is an opportunity for Chicago or Louisiana or some other city to step it up and show they can be great US film makers

I believe what Spielberg says, a crisis is looming and major studios like Warner Bros or Paramount or Fox are going to see some really big box office flops.

Spielberg's comments have nothing to do with runaway production, which has been a reality in Hollywood for several decades and will continue being so. You do realize that most runaway productions are funded by Hollywood studios (the business side of which, in reality, has historically been based out of New York City, not Los Angeles)?

Those other cities will still get payed by businesses that are based in "Hollywood". Going outside of Southern California isn't new. Hollywood importing shows from other countries isn't new either. Star Wars wasn't filmed in Southern California. (Why does Lucas hate America!!!!!???)

    Yup.

I won't presume to speak for Kes, but I suspect she's not agreeing with any of it.

lol, wut? California contributes to the federal budget far more than it gains from it. Our money troubles have everything to do with Goppers' insistence that nobody, not even business, pay anywhere near fair real estate taxes, despite Californian real estate being some of the world's most desirable.

When did California go bankrupt? Apparently with the current budget, California has a surplus.

I don't think Hollywood has much to worry about, whilst Hollywood Stidos may bankroll a film, it doesn't mean that they are all filmed in Hollywood.

Off the top of my Head

SW 1, 4-6 shoot in the UK (2 and 3 had parts shoot in the UK) and 7 is likely to filmed in the UK

    LOTR/The Hobbit, New Zealand

Harry Potter films shoot in the UK

Bond films shoot in the UK and around the world.

As for DW at 50 yearsold, I hardly think it's challanging Hollywood. The US like many other countries imports some TV shows.

I agree with him, I saw a film recently - it had a foreigner as a lead - said he was a kryptonian, that was a role that could have been played by an American Super-soldier.
