    Awesome. :guffaw:

Props to both of you, for concept and for execution. :techman: (I, too, like the 'Condition: Red' sign. :D )

^Well, this one was all my idea actually. :D

Pookha has been trying to get me to put together one featuring nomad, which I am struggling with to be honest. Anyone got any ideas?

Can somebody run pookha up a couple of nomad avatars? With sombrero?

It takes me forever to do these things...

I love making music videos, and I want to do one with the sombrero theme. Ideas for music? (low rider seems to be a good choice) And, I am probably going to have to use photoshopped stills and I suck at photoshop.
But... I will attempt it:techman: So I am going to collect the photoshopped pics in the thread.... anybody not want me to use their creations in an attempt at a fan vid? Please speak up, I respect all the awesome creativity here.

I'd say go for it. I can't see anyone minding.

I still think la cucaracha would be the best music choice.

I've spent the last month scouring the internet for a spanish guitar version of the Star Trek theme (which unsurprisingly does not seem to exist).

Oops, guess I misread that. [IMG]

For pookha's idea, then, it occurs to me that Nomad should have one of those tall, pointy sombreros like the one shown here:

(I think there was also a shot of doubleoh/Mutarada trying one on in the Misc. picture thread, in case that's a better match.)

I believe she also wanted the dancing hare to have one. [IMG]

If I had any photoshop skill whatsoever, I would change gears a little bit and sombrero-ize the destruction of Alderaan from Star Wars...

"No, Alderaan is peaceful, we have no sombreros!"

That post is like the Pants Game from Star Wars. Sombrero is full of comic potential as a word replacement as well.

"You would prefer another sombrero? A military sombrero? Then name the system!"

So what's wrong with putting sombreros on the welders in the current trailer? :D

    the nomad changling concept.

they beam a sombrero wearing nomad aboard.
who happens to be wearing a sombrero like kirks.

remember part of the plot of changling is that nomad confuses kirk with
    its creator jackson roykirk.

so in one panel nomad goes DADDY...
there is a panel were kirk reacts and then the next goes i dont think so and
destroys nomad with the beam from the eyes..

or someone can make it longer playing on the daddy theme.
    :p

just one of those odd things that came floating in my head.

oh and trek core has some great reaction shots of kirk when they beam nomad aboard.

^ I really cannot stop watching this latest installment of Sombrero Trek webisodes!

The red alert light is all kinds of awesome, and I love seeing Khan's entire deck crew wearing sombreros as he yells "FIRE!"...but I think my favorite part is how the sombreros come off everyone's head when the Enterprise is hit. That is frakkin' hilarious.

I could watch it all day and never get tired of it.

That is outstanding, LCARS! I love that the bridge moved to the top of the sombrero. It's just daring anyone to fire at the sombrero.

Wow, jon! I don't think I could say Awesome enough to convey how outstanding that is. I really love the new Sombrero-Alert indicator. :bolian:

That's fine, but I wanted to see the crane lowering the sombrero in place.
