So it appears that the Young Justice comic tie in to the TV series has been cancelled. Given all of the drama over DC Nation and the cancellation of the toy line, is this the final nail in the coffin of that series?
Very sad to hear. While not the biggest fan of Young Justice (it was, hm, too stiff and militaristic in structure and mission deployment if that could be understood.) I do go out of my way to support every arm of the DC Animation wing, including tie ins. Doesn't look good for the show's return.
Odd it's sales seemed to be doing good http://comicsbeat.com/dc-comics-month-to-month-sales-august-2012/ http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/2...antern-the-animated-series-finding-its-level/ http://www.comicbookpage.com/SalesE...rt=Title-CBG&Publisher=DC&Title=Young Justice No toys and no comic book tie in. A season 3 of "Young Justice looks to have a tough road ahead promotion wise. The only thing I know that's relevant to Young Justice is the video game.
I believe there was an Animated Green Lantern comic too. I wonder if that's being cancelled as well...
What??? The animated DC or Marvel shows and the comics based in them have never been "in line" with the comic continuities. They've always been alternate realities. Young Justice even made it official -- the behind-the-scenes material asserted that it took place on "Earth-16" within the DC multiverse. So there's absolutely no reason why that would be a factor in the comic's cancellation or the show's dire straits. It never has been before.
