Talking of funky, the new Reman shield FX look especially sharp on the D7 Battlecruiser!






Maybe it's the contrast of the symbols against the hull, or the relatively featureless hull, but it looks really good here - perfect for scaring the living daylights out of the next Breen patrol I hunt down...


Meanwhile, back in Federation space, the shuttle Viking in Earth orbit. Honestly, the updated visuals for the Sol system are gorgeous - the NASA fan in me can't get enough of images like this, let alone being able to joy-ride around vistas like this!

Bringing the U.S.S. Tannhauser Gate NCC-92993-B into Earth Space Dock one final time so she could be decommissioned. Starfleet Corps of Engineers felt that she'd been in a few too many battles and her routine maintenance was going to start using more resources than it would take to build an entirely new ship.



While my crew was sad to say goodbye to the old girl, they were quite impressed with her replacement, the NCC-92993-C; additionally, they were not only relieved to not have to work so hard to keep this new one running smoothly, they were quite happy to no longer be separated from their families.



Now that we've finally earned the right to rejoin the 25th century, the crew broke me down and convinced me to requisition a more modern ship's uniform.



The bridge feels a bit... spacious, in comparison to the Tannhauser B... I may need to swing back to Earth Space Dock and requisition a new bridge module.

 

got the old columbia out of mothballs for a spin round the block. Looks kind of scarey with the remen shields and borg engines (though i wonder why only got one bit of each)



just relised got a turbo boost type thing on the ship as well.

In Imperial news, Torlek made Captain, and that means a new ship! Introducing the Vor'cha-class I.K.S. Lorak, named after the Klingon Chancellor who mentored General Chang:






Captaincy also brings new responsibilities - Torlek got dragged into some pretty intense fighting protecting Qo'noS from an other-worldly invasion, followed by a mission alongside Emperor Kahless himself. Things took a rather ...'unusual' turn, resulting in a voyage on the 'Barge of the Dead' to the gates of the underworld Gre'thor itself...








Wow. In a word: EPIC!


All the while, got some well-needed cruising time in for the Challenger, and some more suitably evocative shots.

And over on the Victory, Commander Malor's occupied with matters of an altogether different kind...

I also have a slot ready for the Gorn BO that I got doing the diplomacy missions, however I haven't picked him up yet because I'm waiting for the new Gorn stuff to be released. Does anybody know when that is supposed to be released?

I just replayed Cold Call, and at the end of the mission when I went to speak with Ambassador Surah, I found my two Borg officers deep in coversation. I wonder what they were discussing....

I did not know you could decorate the crew lounge until yesterday...

Well today Taylor tried out a higher difficulty setting and get some accolades for injuries and everything was fine then he fought some really pissed off klingons.



Need less to say as a resault he and the crew got banged up really bad and due to the Yorktown's Med Bay being out of supplies for some as yet unknown reason the ship had to return to ESD to treat the injured



But it did give me a chance to pick up my sweet new Yacht



Which I took on a little joyride to test it out

Captain's Log: "Note to galley: No dessert for the Science Officer tonight. She scanned a Satellite and started a whole chain of events that nearly lead to the destruction of the Federation...twice."

Captain's log: "Well, one of Obisek's Remans asked for a ride home. Joke's on me though; as it turns out he has no home, and decided to take up residence on my Bridge. He's rather tidy though, and picks up after himself; so I guess I'll make him part of the crew. He probably couldn't do any worse than my Science Officer of late."

Captain's log: "Well, who'd have thought Remans were sentimental. I seem to have acquired a baby Horta, who wnated to "see the galaxy" (it's hell on the carpeting in my quarters though, but that's another log entry.) I guess Obisek was sentimental about it because he had this reminder made for me. It seems his soldiers cut the slab of rock the Horta used to communicate with me (a good trick as the base this occured in blew up); and mounted it on a display with some damaged Horta egg nodules. My Chief of Engineering set it up in in the Crew Lounge for all to see; (Said she didn't know what else to do with it). Lucky for me, the baby Horta doesn't care for crowds and probably will never come in here."

 

so how do you decorate the lounge then?

 

go up to the wall with the empty shelves and click on the tab for which shelf you want to put the trophy on. FYI you can only put ships on the top shelfs and fleet action trophies, accolades, and trophies that you have bought on the floor.
