I hate that "based on the novel 'Push' by Sapphire" part of the title.

Never saw Precious. It looked like typical Oscar-bait, and turned me off. Anyone see it? Worth seeing?

Great film. Not easy to watch, but worth watching.

I wanted to see An Education. It looks good.

Could've been worse. It could've also had Tyler Perry's name on the front of it.

Did they say, "A Salute to Horror Films" is coming up? I'm intrigued.

It was a good one; I thought the ending was a bit underwhelming, but still excellent (Mulligan and Molina really make it, plus one of my favourite underrated British actresses, Rosamund Pike).

Precious looks like loads of fun. It's one of those "triumph of the human spirit" deals, right? Can't wait for the Blu-ray.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. It just sounds so pretentious.

Avatar's set direction must have involved a lot of blue sheets.

More "survival" of the human spirit.

Avatar collects the first of what will surely be many technical awards.

Because when you want to win an Academy Award for set direction, just buy some tanning booths and some glo-sticks.

Yet to see it. But I remember reading a review of it from Caprica_Six on FB.

Avatar wins for Art Direction. No surpise there.

Early frontrunner for most heartfelt speech of the night.
