I'm not sure this one counts. In that episode, both Picard and Data clearly refer to O'Brien as "Colm", suggesting that Meany was not playing O'Brien.

 

^ They're calling him 'Conn' (his function on the bridge), not Colm.

 

As noted above, they called him "Conn" and indeed I thnk that's what he's listed as in the credits. All Good Things clearly establishes that "Conn" in indeed O'Brien.

Besides, I said Colm Meaney can wear a red shirt and survive, not O'Brien. So whatever he may have been called in Farpoint, my point still stands.

 

Colm Meany dislikes misheard dialogue. Dislikes it a lot...

For example, after reading your replies, I played that scene again with the CC on, and even though the word "Conn" DOES appear onscreen, I still hear "Colm".

 

^ Yeah, I don't recall any other time a person was referred to as "Conn"... only "you have the Conn," not "you, Conn".
