Reboot The X-Files? Mulder and Scully are in their early twenties, Mulder an awkward nerd who never gets to hang with the FBI's cool gang, Scully a smoking hot babe who is forced to work an assignment with Mulder by that buzzkill authority figure Skinner. The story takes a twist by the arrival of Mulder Prime, played by David Duchovny.

Can't be any worse than the show my wife forced me to watch in the 90's.

Her true love had just been murdered and she's about a split-second away from flaying somebody alive, so, yeah, Willow wasn't exactly looking fresh and perky at that moment. :)

I've always liked Alyson Hannigan. Truth be told she was one of the only things I ever liked about Buffy and she tends to be fun, cute and deliver a solid performance in every project she's in. Truth be told, she'd probably make for a good Trek character if the producers would write one for her personality.

That's what I thought it was. I figured the "age" had something to do with her facial expression and lighting. It's just I saw that picture literally minutes after watching this week's HIMYM and thought it was a striking contrast.

Perhaps B & B should taken a little longer with the Nemesis script and filming it? I'd have gladly waited until the spring of 2003 if it meant the movie wasn't a thudding, colossal disappointment with more holes than the surface of a moon.

I wish they'd have taken more time with Insurrection. They had a release date locked in before they ever hired Piller to write the thing.

Heck, Robert Wise is on record saying that he wished he'd had more time on TMP, but that movie had a famously brutal and inflexible deadline.

Since when do we want them to rush TREK movies out to hit some arbitrary release date?

Since Braga had nothing to do with Nemesis, there is no "B&B."

That is the traditional way. And those movies were Pure.

Braga's non-involvement with Nemesis notwithstanding, that film was not "pure," unless you mean Pure Grade-A Disappointment.

They had four years since Insurrection to craft something truly special and worthy of the TNG cast. This was their last official on-screen adventure, and that was the best Berman and his people could do?

I'm as fond of the Prime timeline and the Roddenberry and Berman eras as anyone here but that last film was a mess, a mess that helped tank the film franchise for close to a decade.

You still haven't address this "pure" nonsense. It's total bullshit ... or pure bullshit, as it were.

"Tradition" is often just an excuse to keep doing the same damn thing over and over, regardless of whether or not it makes sense.

    To heck with tradition. :)

So it could ignite the fires of Hell itself on an orphanage, but if it's "pure" Trek it's a-ok?

"I believe I speak for everyone here, sir, when I say...Fuck our orders."

    It was something like that.
