http://www.superherohype.com/news/spider-mannews.php?id=7691 BOOO! Worse superhero girlfriend ever! I won't look forward to her getting kidnapped during the final fight in the next movie either.
Considering by the end of Spidey 3 their relationship was in shambles. I'm hoping she part in 4 will be small. Especially considering the heifer didn't want to do the movies anymore anyway.
I'd rather not see the character killed off, just go away for a film. I'd rather see more Gwen Stacy.
Call me crazy, but I think MJ is much more attractive than Gwen Stacy. Maybe in real life that isn't the case, but in Spiderman 3 it was to me. I agree though, let's hope she doesn't get kidnapped again. It worked in the first two but the third one was a stretch.
Do we know who will be writing Spiderman 4 yet? Please tell me it's not the same people who brought us 3.
The last I heard -- and this was near the beginning of the summer -- was that James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) was working on the script, and that the brothers Raimi didn't have any involvement in the writing process this time around.
She may not have wanted to do Spidey 3 but due to personal life choices and lack luster career ones she needs this franchise to remain viable in the industry. Frankly she's lucky they aren't writing her or the character off. I do hope its a bit part. I'm hoping for Felecia Hardy/Black Cat to add a potentially new and exciting dynamic for Spidey 4/5
Ugh. Why can't we have some fresh blood on this franchise? I was really hoping we wouldn't get another WB teen soap opera with two fight scenes in it...
That's exactly how the finale will play out. When I saw Iron Man, I was convinced that Paltrow's character would end up getting kidnapped. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that wasn't the case.
As much as I loved Maguire and Dunst in the first 2 movies... I have to agree that it's time for some fresh blood. Raimi has already mined all the gooey relationship drama he can out of those two. Plus after all the bizarre, out-of-character moments in the last movie, I don't think I could take them seriously anymore anyway.
