Ryan Reynolds can dye his hair and play Superman too. It'll help them save money on the Justice League movie.

I'm even having trouble seeing him as Green Lantern.( or Flash for that matter) Bwahahahah Blue or Gold seems a better fit.

Well when Rumors were going around that the fans wanted Tom Welling after 5 seasons as Clark Kent on Smallville to don the suit on the big screen, but the producers said no.

As to routh I say lets give him a chance to wear the cape again IMO.

I didn't really like Routh as Superman, seemed too much like he was trying to emulate Reeve. I know this is gonna sound stupid, but I think Jay Baruchel would make a good Superman. Granted, he would have to bulk up for the part.

Superman should not look like the bastard child of an eraser and French Stewart.

I'm really having a hard time seeing your reasoning behind this one.

Anyway, Hamm would make a great older Superman, but I'd rather see a Superman movie with a guy in peak physical shape (no offense to Hamm).

I think Henry Cavill has the looks and acting skill to be Superman, much more than the others. I liked Routh, he needed to bulk up a little more, but I can't imagine he'd be in the reboot.

Remember when it used to take years before a franchise was redone and revitalized? 60s Batman series, 1989 Keaton. Maybe we should let Superman be for a dang while, eh? 50s serials, Reeve, Lois and Clark, Superboy, Smallville. crappy Superman Returns. Let the poor guy alone.

I'm just tired of reboots that aren't successful and get rebooting within a few years of disaster. Hulk, Fantastic Four, Spiderman. Where does it end? Ever hear of something new or at least something that hasn't been adapted 10 times in the last 30 years. Turok Dinosaur Hunter, The Time Walker, Solar Man of the Atom. Something different. Anything!

True. Raimi's Spider-Man films aren't that old and already a reboot is in the works. C'mon, gimme a break! They're gonna hit the reset button and we have to go through the origin and teen angst all over again? It's bullshit!

I really wish Raimi and McGuire could have made things work for them to continue.

If they want fresh & trendy...Chace.

If they want fresh & good...Christian...watch the Street Fighter stuff...I think he can do this.

I also would like Brandon to continue...don't see it happening.

Being a SMALLVILLE fan...Would love to see Tom in a movie...but won't happen.

    Those are my votes though.

    :bolian:

Christian Howard is my 1st choice.

One of my biggest problems with SR was that while this is supposedly years after Superman first appeared, and at least several since he left earth, he still looks and acts like a 'kid' through most of it.

Give me an older, established Superman. Jon Hamm is as good as any choice.

I watched Street Fighter: Legacy and even the doppleganger film Beginnings End and both were decent, but not that good, like most fan films. He barely even acted in it and isn't he just a stunt man? SF: Legacy probably not the best example of him being "fresh & good" for a Superman flick

How about instead of Superman Returns we get 'Superman Went Away'? We can have something like Funeral for a Friend where he is missing and a few fakers take up the helm. If nobody likes this particular Man of Steel, well you can always have another one follow. Sometimes I think these people don't even read comic books.

Almost sounds like a midquel between Superman 2 and SR.

I'm tired of reboots full stop.

Why they can't just make X-Men 4 or Spidey 4 is beyond me.
