This is the first episode with the new format. And a hostage situation in a bank? That screams "budget cut" right there.

I wonder if KITT will be updated to a 2010 Mustang at the end of the season if it gets renewed...

Good question. As far as I know, Ford is not making the 2010 Shelby GT500KR (they are making the GT500 though). So if they do "upgrade" KITT, it will be a "lesser" Mustang; Not that the 500HP 2010 Shelby GT500 should be considered "lesser".

Was that a pool table in the background? Their base of operations looks like a mess, like it was set up by rowdy college kids. With 250+ million, they could do better.

As for the retooling, it looks like this show has done a better job of it than most other shows have in the past. Look what they did with seaQuest, Baywatch Nights, Martial Law and Earth: Final Conflict. We got none of that with Knight Rider.

Yeah, I like this. It's how the show should've been all along!

The original had 4 seasons of "Knight" related titles. They're not going to run out anytime soon

By having KITT talk, make decisions and act without Mike, KITT really feels like a separate and unique character compared to previous episodes. I like it!

I'll admit I am finding this one worse than any of the previous episodes.

*KITT drives self into hospital ER entrance - leaves by himself*
*KITT drives to block fire so a hostage can be rescued - on television!*

It's funny how 12 episodes ago Zoe was talking about Sex Sex Sex and now with the "change" it's gone
