I changed the pics to links because I assumed that you don't all or really any of the webspace they're hosted on. Hotlinking is against the rules here.

Why didn't you leave Quinto in Spock's role ? Just curious.

I'm still wondering why they would do a reboot with the characters from an episode that was never even aired???

Interesting question, interesting choices. I would say that Alyson Hannigan, born in 1974, is way too old for the part of Colt. Don't get me wrong, she looks great, but Colt was about 20 in "The Cage," and American Pie was a loooong time ago.

Michael Hogan as Boyce would be fascinating - I know him mostly from BSG, and playing a wise, caring mentor would be quite different from that role!

It was aired but much later. First time I saw it was on syndication on ABC.

The Cage was aired as The Menagerie Parts 1 and 2.

Pike is part of Bad Robot Trek.

    No problemo.:techman:

Just curious how Morgan would do, i would also like to see a more immature Spock than we had ever seen onscreen. I think he could play one well.

This is just one of the half bilion what if threads that are floating around here.

No, replacing hotlinks to images on colinmorganfan.com, fanpop.com, celebritybase.net, etc. with hotlinks to image-hosting accounts belonging to people who aren't you doesn't work, either. To post them as inline images, the pics will need to be uploaded to an account which is registered to you, and then linked from there.

Doesn't need to be your TrekBBS username, no, but it should be your own account.

When was that, around 1988? I saw The Cage on tv, the version that was about half & half B/W and color, with Malachi Throne's unaltered Talosian voice in the B/W scenes. Roddenberry introduced it as I recall, explaining that they had found an original print and pieced it together with the only color scenes available from The Menagerie.

Yep. The b/w reels were from the "workprint", which GR used to show at university gatherings. After the b&w/color compile was put out on home video and then TV (within the "Saga" documentary") and got some new publicity, the original editor from Desilu realized he still had the missing color offcuts in his attic, and an all-color version was finally assembled.

I did actually started thread like this couple years ago if they would do another Star Trek tv series. Anyway i do like Chris Egen as Jose Tyler but the rest isent that good. I feel Greenwood, Beals and Hannigan way too old for this.

I can see Castle actress Molly C. Quinn as Yaoman Colt. She is twenty and had also reddish hair.

I agree about Hannigan. I don't know how old Majel was at the time but she looks mature like Beals. I had gone with Greeonwood out of respect for the new creative team.

Majel was 33-34 years old during Cage. Beals turns 50 this year so no way too mature for role Number One.
Greenwood(56) again just too old. Come on you most have some other alternatives than this old farts.

I think Beals looks great, but not early-mid 30s.

I was going to suggest Ben Browder for Pike, but he's 50, too.

And I agree that a reboot Pike and Number One should be younger than 50+.

How about Matt Bomer as Pike. He is 35ish so right age for me at least.
