    I liked what he did.

It was simple good and evil stuff.

Did the sales go in the toilet?

Yeah it was a cult book but never a strong seller which was why it was on the bubble so many times and eventually cancelled and then brought back. Most of it was still very good.

The numbers iirc were close to the bottom of the top 100 back when it was running close to ~20K. It probably helped immensely that DeFalco was a former EiC at Marvel, that was his pet project and they mostly used cheap artists. Same deal with the relaunch of Thunderstrike imo.

    Edit:

Uncanny Avengers #18. This is where it's going to start falling apart for me. I hate dystopian alternate reality stories. It is SO over-done. I hope this doesn't take place over many issues.

The ending of the Trial of Jean Grey, and indeed the entire story, was a whole lot of nothing. Pretty art, though...

Hickman's Avengers is seriously spinning its wheels and has been for awhile...

Dystopian alternative realities are Rick Remender's bread and butter. It's like asking Frank Millar not to write something without whores.

    Agreed about Avengers.

New Avengers is improve though at a snail's pace.

    Spectacular Spider-Man #30...

Wow. I really didn't see a couple things coming here.

Apparently Liz Allen is the Green Goblin and not Norman?! I did think it was suspicious that we never saw Norman's face except on a robot screen. But why is she doing it?! She said it's all for Lil' Normie... but... why? My mind is reeling about her previous appearances in the series. I was completely ignoring her!

Otto voluntarily erases his mind to allow Peter to regain his body?!

I really didn't expect such a noble end for him. Of course this raises the question of how will they inevitable resurrect Otto five years from now? A computer backup of his mind somewhere perhaps?

New Avengers has been particularly time-wasting. Issue after issue of our characters sitting around and watching alt versions of themselves doing the exact same thing over and over??? Why???

Bendis invented a new Ship just for people like me who adore fuckeduppedness.

Try saying "Queen Kitty Quill" 5 times as fast as you can.

So when Professor K is sitting on the throne of Spartax in ten years, how exactly are all the Hate Groups on Earth going to deal with the fact that a Jewess (I think that word is fine?) controls 1/5th of known space?

With how cults of personality's work, without even asking anyone, to be like their new Queen, who is super cool and really pretty, its more than possible that billions of random Spartaxians might decide to convert.

    MELL BROOKS WAS RIGHT!

    JEWS IN SPACE!

I loved all of those MC2 books, especially Fantastic Five. It's too bad they never caught on.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

So if Liz makes her way out of this with her secret identity intact, that might mean that she is playing a major part in any ongoing Spider-Man 2099 project, and unless she is secretly his greatgrandmother (Oh dear. Work it out. That means that Normie is his Grandfather and Norman is his great great grandfather.) a possible love interest despite being crazy.

(Joe Rogan once wrote in stone: Psyco Chicks are the best.)

I was always into Betty in the beginning (1962) and saw Liz Allen as a bump in the road... But I thought she and Foggy Nelson were good together. Mysterio is a complete ##### for ending that relationship for lolz.

I'm of two thoughts about how Liz is the current Green Goblin, one she wants to end this war now before her son is old enough to fight in it, and did what he had to do, knocking back some goblin formula. That seems rational? Or 2, Goblin madness/Goblin formula is sexually transmitted and sex with her husband drove her insane and this has been bubbling in the background for years.

Everyone who has had sex wit a goblin is as insane as a goblin. To #### a goblin is to be a goblin.

(Foggy needs to get tested STAT.)

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Another Marvel creative retreat started today. Apparently all the big guns are present, and last week Rich reported already that we could see The Death of Nick Fury down the road, maybe in September when they do the big "Death of Wolverine" thing. Should be an interesting next few days.

On the comics front...Black Widow's new solo series has been surprisingly great so far. I'm really enjoying it. Moon Knight has been interesting. The art is fantastic.

Also caught up on the last three issues of Superior Spider-Man...Peter fans...you have your wish ;) Superior's grand finale is going to be most fascinating and can't wait for Amazing #1 in a couple weeks.

Indeed. Apparently they're talking another one so that Nick Jr. can take the solo spotlight in 616. I'm guessing it'll spin out of Original Sin if they decide to do it since Nick Sr is supposed to be a central character.
