I hate fried chicken. I mean, really...

I think I just threw up in my mouth.

Me too! Truth be told, aside from the occasional Pomme frites or skin-on fries, I'm not very fond of fried food in general. It gives me a tummy ache.

Yeah, I don't like fried foots at all. A tummy ache if I'm lucky...

I admit I like cheese curds, though. But then, I'm a Minnesotan. :o

Oh God, I hate you guys. Now I'm totally craving some fried chicken. And not the crappy KFC stuff, I mean some real, homemade fried chicken. That's the best.
Their jambalaya has pork in it, IIRC.

I didn't know they served jambalaya. I was referring to the fact that they mix pork in with their chicken. YUK.

But I have to retract what I said earlier about fried chicken: My dad's from New Orleans and he makes a homemade skinless fried chicken that is spicy instead of oily and positively divine.

Popeyes is a guilty pleasure. I save it for special occasions. It wreaks havok on me, but damn it's good.

I just don't understand why anyone likes fried chicken.

    I mean what sounds better:

Take a chicken breast, soak it in a nice herbal vinaigrette marinade for an hour and plot in on a grill

    Or

Roll it in mounds of flour and then throw it in a pan of boiling fat.

Sorry, but despite by old New England heritage, sweet tea and fried chicken are my two Southern-influenced vices.

Eh. I have hundreds of chicken marinades--something for everyone.

My personal favorite makes very liberal use of beer. :techman:

Yup. Take a bottle (or two :D ) of your finest brew (preferably imported, and the darker the better), add some chopped onion and garlic, brow sugar, molasses, chopped chipotle, and some green chilie powder and you're good to go.
