It's December, and that means it's time again for the official Doctor Who website's annual Adventure Calendar, with goodies revealed every day up to Christmas Day. Day 1: Video of Nick Frost discussing working with the "real Santa" on set. ETA: It seems the BBC is doing an additional advent calendar-type thing on a separate website, called Countdown to Christmas. I'll be adding stuff from there too. Countdown to Christmas Day 1: Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, and Michelle Gomez answer the question, "What would be your dream Christmas?"
So here we are, the second day, and both the Adventure Calendar and this new Countdown to Christmas already have the same content. That is both sites are featuring wallpaper of the poster image of the special. Didn't take long at all for the new calendar to become redundant.
Adventure Calendar Day 3: Part one of a 3 part quiz. Countdown to Christmas Day 3: It's a promo code for a discount at BBC's online store. Discounts are nice, but featuring a promo code, plus actual links to the store, on an advent calendar as a treat? Wow. "Merry Christmas! As a treat, let us help you give us your money."

Adventure Calendar Day 7: Printable Christmas cards Countdown to Christmas Day 7: What a treat! It's a "preview clip" of a documentary special that aired 4 months ago. My guess is that it's going to be included on the Series 8 Blu-ray/DVD set, considering a reminder to purchase Series 8 is tacked on to the end of the video.
