^That was just a little bit of irony, as far as I could see, not unlike Jimmy Olsen's photos turning out to be rubbish compared to the kid with the cellphone.

I wonder what people who found it too PC thought of the out and out piss take of the "American way" line in the first Donner film? "You'll be fighting every elected official in this country!"

 

Most likely they were younger when they first saw it, so they never really thought about it and since have grown to accept. Really Perry's line in SR is not that different from Lois's reaction in the original film.

They are reporters and had to covered politics and seen the darker corners of the system. It makes sense they would have much more cynical view of things than someone raised on a farm in Kansas. Lois & Clark had a similar contrast between the two characters.

 

It was funny at the time, remember Nixon? The idea that politicians can't be trusted is hardly a recent comedy trope.

 

The viral marketing to the film has begun. A countdown has started using what I can only assume are the film's "new" take on Kryptonian symbols, these being represented as numbers. Also...are these coordinates that make up the website?

Looks good...very good in fact. I love the music they used.

 

With the exception of the music which I thought should have altered for the second half of the spot this is looking very good.

 

Reminds me of the score from Gladiator.

 

That's cause it was the score from "Gladiator" at the beginning at least...giving us a little taste of what to expect from Zimmer 's score. Just as the first teaser did.
