Maybe it's too simple, but the Hidden Froniter website is ... www.hiddenfrontier.com. I'm sure they'll be happy to help you find the files you're looking for.

Oooooooo! Cool. Do you know if he's going to release the first and third episodes at about the same time? I have this penchant about reviewng things in chronological order, though I have seen "incident at Beta 9," and I thought it was very well done. I just think it's confusing to viewers if we start in the middle, then the first one and then the last. But I also don't want projects to sit on the shefl too long.

I think he's finishing The Final Darkness before going back and trying to upgrade part 1, which he did years ago with inferior equipment.

Thanks for the info, Barb. I might still hold out for the first one to go first, but I'll make that decision when things have played out more than they have now.

This is from George Kayaian: The third chapter Star Trek: The Final Darkness should be ready in a matter of weeks. The rough cut has been finished, and the visual effects work begun. Thirty-six spfx shots are now complete out of one hundred thirty two. Final sound mix will then be completed with the final installment of the special effects. The first part, Star Trek: The Infinite Chain, is currently being re-edited completely and will be available in HD. The first part will be posted on YouTube within two or three weeks, with each new part added as editing continues. The upgrade plan concludes by August to do a HD widescreen version of Star Trek: Incident At Beta 9 last, since it is already available on YouTube (although not currently available in HD). I'm really excited about all this new work...technology has allowed me to do more elaborate visual effects, as well as revisiting the old work and improving the quality as much as possible.

Good deal! I've seen "Incident at Beta 9" and it was very well done. This series will probably take the place of Star Trek: Encarta as my once-a-month series of reviewing longer projects.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I found this message from Lee Gattrell in Facebook:

    >>Due to consequences beyond my control the upcoming premiere of Star Trek: The Romulan Wars will not be releasing any episodes at this time. It appears it will be sometime next year or later.

    Please accept my apologies.<<

And I was solooking forward to watching that....

Talk about your summer doldrums! Nothing new coming down the pipe that I can see, so check the list from last week, or if you know something debuting soon, post it or send it my way at randyhall@aol.com and I'll definitely add it to the next week's list if not sooner.

    Partial releases:
    Star Track Animated,
    This is Part 1 of 7 (released July 2010) : http://startrack.goldenmediastudios.com/index.php?name=Content&pid=43

Part 2 of 7 has been released today, July 30th and can be seen here: http://startrack.goldenmediastudios.com/index.php?name=Content&pid=44

Romulan Wars, Wings of Icarus, Act 1 of 5 will be released next week, the first week of August. http://www.stromulanwars.com/index.html

There may be a major delay in the release of Enemy:Starfleet. They are talking about waiting until all four of the episodes in the can (even origins, which they just shot in June!) are ready, and releasing them one week apart, as if it were a regular TV series. In any event, as always, I urge people to come to Star Trek Reviewed and watch any of the hundreds of Star Trek Fan Films already available on the web or on DVD via snail mail!

Thanks for the info, Barb! I've made some changes in this week's listing to reflect your information. However, I don't like to promote unfinished entries like (cough) Exeter (cough). Once they have a completed episode, I'll be happy to include Star Track Animated.

And don’t forget to vote for the U.S.S. Excalibur. While they didn’t win the first month-long contest, they still have a chance in the program for August. Vote early and often at this site: http://refresheverything.com/excalibur

Two notes: The Wings of Icarus is in four Acts, two have been released. The release from Star Trek Requirius was part 1 of a multipart arc, and they hope to release Parts 2 and 3 in September, and Part 4 in October. Photography is done on all four parts.
