Not sure if he's started training for the movie yet, but he definitely looks a lot bigger and buffer than usual.

He's got a good head on his shoulders about this. I find it amusing (and probably beneficial) that WB warned him about the reaction. That was nice of them.

I keep saying, look at him in The Town and you'll probably get an idea of the sort of shape he's going to be in for this movie.

As long as he's got a better "Batman" voice than Bale. I mean seriously would it kill a Batman actor to be understandable? I mean Keaton was basically in a lower register of his normal voice. Kilmer same deal. Clooney... well they were basically straight up making B&R a continuation of the old '66 Batman at that point so his Bruce and Batman were identical.

Although a Bah'ston accent would be kinda funny.

But Adam West's Bruce and Batman were far from identical. His Bruce voice was relaxed, mellow, and naturalistic (except in moments of intense emotion like in the movie when he thought the villains had harmed "Miss Kitka"), while his Batman voice was much more dramatic, urgent, and staccato. They were both clearly Adam West's voice, but the characterizations were very distinct.

Agreed. Adam West, and the series itself, lifted dialogue and tone almost directly from the silver age comics. I just finished reading the Black Casebook and some of the stories from the early to mid-sixties had me channeling the series' narration and Adam West's voice in my head.

^And several of the show's storylines were directly adapted from comics stories.

Amy Adams read for the Rachel Dawes role for Batman Begins in Christian Bale's screen test.

Bale's Batman voice is still ridiculous, that's all I could think watching the screen test

Yikes. As much as I've never been crazy about the Nolan suits, they definitely look a lot better on Bale than that one.

Man, Bale's Batman voice is perfect in that audition.
