I haven't been on a bus in years... I mean, I haven't myself paid for a bus-ride in years. Today I had to go somewhere on a city bus all alone and by myself... Having watched The Voyage Home the other night, the thought appeared to me that they might only accept exact change... so I installed the app from the bus company on my phone -should do the trick- I thought... well: HA-HA! Come time I was about to catch the bus I opened the app and it didn't accept my password. OK, no problem, I just tapped the 'I forgot my password, please reset it'-button. And started waiting for an e-mail that never arrived... So much for the brave-new-world-approach to purchasing a bus-ticket. Luckily the old-fashioned way still works: I sent a phone-message to a certain number and received one back, that was my ticket, less than ½ a minute later... Hurray for the old ways! (and this method doesn't even require my credit-information or the use of my phones GPS functionality.)
