It's only unforgivable to the few Brownshirt Zealots who carry a torch for it. The rest of humanity has moved on.

Look.... you may have a definite opinion about a certain group of fans, but that's going a step too far trying to tag them with the "Brownshirt" label.

I was gonna wear my brown shirt to work tomorrow, but I think I'll wear the blue one instead.

I'm still not sure if I like castle? What the hell was up with a ten episode first season? I thought it'd been cancelled.

This thread is funny...a poster on an internet board asking why fans of a canceled television show are still mourning it's loss five or six years later. I'm curious the Dagman would you be upset about Chuck's cancellation had it come in it's first season run as much as we Firefly fans are? For me I'm upset because we were never allowd to see the show in it's proper air order nor realize the potential each episode was building towards. Serenity proved that there was a lot more to what Joss had planned in the series than we were able to see.

    Blueshirt? Irish fascist, then.

    Seriously you can't win.

Ah, but there's the rub: Firefly was cancelled in its first season. It's just not usual for shows cancelled in their first season, therefore having a scanty amount of episodes, to have the sort of enduring perpetually renewing interest Firefly's got. So I think the OP is right in noting that it's a tad unusual, 79 episodes is a more natural number for a dedicated fandom than 14.
