    Another odd character:

And I just discovered the FOV commands, though I've started out a little conservatively:

Here is my crew from the U.S.S. Berengaria, a heavy-cruiser that resembles the Stargazer.

Yes, I am a dude portraying a girl on an MMO. :p And it occurred to me that I pretty much have an all-female crew.

However, I thought I'd add a Ferengi crewman (an Engineer at that) in order to shake things up since Ferengi''s were usually portrayed as negatively in the franchise. Of course, Nog was the one that changed that.

Nefo is pretty cool since he sets up shielding whenever we come across big groups of adversaries.

Since I recently got the ship, the Berengaria, there will be a name change of either:

    *U.S.S. Maya Angelou
    *U.S.S. Bessie Coleman
    *U.S.S. Angela Davis

My initial light cruiser was the U.S.S. Malcolm X and my modified Constitution-class vessel I received later - before my heavy cruiser, of course - was the U.S.S. Malcolm X II.

Here we are on Nimbus III, looking for people up to no good.

Take a look at the new machinery on your mine.

But be careful where you step. The beams can kill you!

I was exploring the mine yesterday. It's very cool, though I somehow didn't discover anything dangerous

the new machines outside might now have been there yet... the pink beams burn your shields and EV suit to crisp.

Still playing around with the FOV. I love how close you can get to the character's faces on the ground.

From my mine exploring. It's a beautiful environment.

Outside is pretty too. And the MACO shield looks cool with one of the Reman skins.

What is it that the Voth use to create this disable? It looks cool, that's all I know.

Here are a couple of screenshots of my Souvereign parked in the Fleet Dilithium Mine hangar which the recent T3 Upgrade unlocked. Fly close to it and an interact button will open the door for you to fly in and park your ride. )

I was trying to climb up the one really high mountain to see if I could get to the top to take a screenshot. Couldn't get all the way, and on the walk down I found this landing with a nice view out to the other side.

And the mine hangar is very neat! I had been doing some exploring in the space map but didn't see it. I love that they are putting stuff into the holdings like this.

You know, I never did the summer event last year, and didn't have a great deal of interest this year either. But I did go exploring the environment this time, went powerboarding for around 5 minutes and built one sand castle. :p

Well, I would recommend getting yourself a floater.
A basic model only costs 50 favours or so. You can get that by doing one round of dancing I think.

It will let you get around much faster on the island and you can reach some spots you can't get to on feet.
There are a couple of expoloration accolades you won't get otherwise. ;)

I'll second this. Both the basic floater and the basic power board can get you all you need. The better floaters (I got a medium one last year) are a bit faster and easier to maneuver, but are not required. The power boards are, unfortunately, pay to win (the more expensive ones are faster), but you can still get the race rewards; you'll just have to do more races to compensate for not winning in most cases.
