Hmm. I doubt Nick Fury, Hawkeye, or Black Widow would be regulars in this, and Cobie Smulders has another series gig, doesn't she? So this would probably have to focus on new characters. Who've they got? Gabe Jones? Clay Quartermain? Hey, weren't they developing a Mockingbird series a while ago? They could fold that into this, have Bobbi be one of the leads, or the lead.

So this is going to be pretty much The Unit in the MCU? ;)

So I'm guessing that there will be apperances from superpowered guest characters every once in a while?

Isn't How I Met Your Mother ending after this season? Unless Cobie wants to focus on features, they can and should swoop on her.

The Consultant was the first Marvel One-Shot. It was basically two brief conversations between Coulson and Sitwell framed around clips from The Incredible Hulk. The World Security Council wanted SHIELD to recruit Blonsky into the Avengers Initiative, and Fury assigned Coulson to find a way to stop it from happening. He and Sitwell came up with the idea of sending Tony Stark (the consultant) to meet with Thunderbolt Ross and piss him off so that he'd refuse to hand Blonsky over to SHIELD.

^Thus leading into the post-credits scene from Incredible Hulk and fixing the continuity puzzler of why Stark was the one meeting with Ross.

I kinda doubt it unless they're non-movie characters, IMO. I do expect to hear some name dropping of various Avengers doing stuff offscreen now and again, though.

They ought to bring Dum Dum Dugan into the present. Neil McDonough isn't on a series right now, is he?

She's a regular on the half-hour sitcom How I Met Your Mother, but that show is entering its eighth season, which many speculate will be its last.

The show sounds cool. I think it could be very good, if done well.

Here's hoping it'll be something more ambitious than just another paranormal cops procedural (and not just "paranormal cops who aren't strictly US-affiliated and thus have to dodge real cops while they investigate the Monsters of the Week", either)...
