It was a different time, however, how do you think that Janeway would have handled the Xindi threat. I for one hope knowing what was at stake she would have thrown the Prime Directive out the airlock. And would have done whatever needed to be done, Archer stole that ships Warp Coil, Tortured that one prisoner, Killed the staff on that moon based sentry complex and other things I just can't see Janeway doing. This is the same Captain that busted Herron for killing this insect life form that was wasting the environmental controls on the Delta Flyer. Although she did almost kill crewman Lessing for messing with those weird life forms to enhance Equinox's warp drive. So, she can do things that need to be done, that probably go against the Prime Directive. All in all, I would want Capt Archer instead of Janeway fighting the Xindi, what do you think???
As long as Janeway had access to her two most valuable possessions, she wouldn't even break a sweat. Those two possessions of course being a reset button and an almost magically self-repairing starship. Archer unfortunately had no such luck and had a harder time of it.
Earth was going to be completely destroyed, not just conquered. I think any of the captains would have done anything necessary to prevent this, prime directive and speeches about humanity be damned.
The Prime Directive wouldn't apply once a state of war exists. The Articles of War and Rules of Engagement would. And something according to Star Trek 6 called "Interstellar Law"
Is this the first Voyager/Enterprise crossover thread? There's a cosmic certain inevitably about it... Janeway's usual response:
I'm so glad Enterprise was different in this respect. It is easy being good when you're not hungry. I'd prefer a muddy Chakotay and Archer.
If she has coffee, she's maintain Starfleet decorum and the Federations ideals. Should the coffee be lost.... perhaps taken by a raiding party... or blasted out into space by a Xindi attack.... or turned all weird and undrinkable by an anomaly.... she'll kill every last Xindi in the expanse.
MY GOD. I've just had a revelation. I can't believe such a simple thing never materialized into a sentence for me before. There are no hot men on VOY. Chakotay is a plank. Paris is a silly child. Tuvok is a not-hot Vulcan. The Doctor is way too irritating. Kim is okay as far as hotness goes, if you like the baby faced thing which I do not. Contrast this with ENT. Archer, though not my favorite by any means, is certainly very hot. Twilight comes to mind, OH HOW WE WANT TO COMFORT HIM and of course shirtless Archer is great to look at. Trip, well obviously very very hot. Sweet, sexy.. and shirtless Trip is great to look at. Reed, see thread. EXTREMELY Hot. Repressed is always hot, just takes you right back to Spock. Hayes, well he's rather beautiful and also hot. Tightly wound Phlox, I find that genial urbane-ness to be rather hot in itself. Soval is SO HOT he burns through the screen. My favorite ever Vulcan, very attractive and interesting man. Heck even Admiral Forrest is hot in a "your daddy has money" kind of way. No wonder my VOY Love is all about the women! Let's take these two series and lock them in a turbolift together and let the shipping begin!
I'd rather see Chuckles and Johnny too. Sure Johnny is going to go down with the first punch, but only a monster would mud rinse Seven's hair doo.
You forgot to mention Shran. And Kemper. And Hawkins. And I'm sure I'm forgetting some other hottie. Now -why- wouldn't people want to watch this show, I wonder.
Mayweather. I assume he's superduper attractive because he made it past the casting couch on Popular.
Mi casa es su casa (or something similar). Has anyone ever done a tally? Janeway kicked ass of: Borg Kazon Vidiians (sp?) Hirogen Malon Q Bomar Devore Archer: Xindi Suliban Klingons? space Nazis!!! Didn't the lovely Gary Graham also pop up in VOY somewhere?
