The show pilot is being directed by Eli Roth, who is also directing the pilot. It also appears to have the author of the book on which is based, Brian McGreevy ivolved.

And they also revealed a clip featuring the shows - very gory - werewolf transormation.

Dougray Scott as Dr. Norman Godfrey

I've never gone for Roth's torture porn movies, but this has me pretty excited.

Thanks for the reminder. April 19!

House of Cards wasn't binge fodder for me, but I think this one might be. So what's the plan, people need to avoid this thread until they've seen the whole show? Is it 6 episodes total?

Netflix really needs some way to save an upcoming original series to your streaming queue the way you can save DVDs. It's silly that there's no way to just say "send this to my Roku when it debuts" at any time and then forget about it until it shows up on the release date, even if you save it months before the debut.

I'd say spoilers are welcome since it'll all be up at once. I'll probably work it into my rotation (I usually watch three or four things at a time on Netflix), but if other people binge and want to discuss the whole thing they should feel free to do so. I might have a mod add a spoiler warning once the show is released.
According to Wikipedia it's going to be a full 13 episode season.

Be lucky that you even have a queue.. They still havent implemented it to nordic Netflixes.

Too much trouble if everyone puts number of episodes watched in beginning of their post? Like watched 3/13 episodes. That way you can ignore posts that may have spoilers. Or would thread get too confusing with that?

Hopefully its atleast same quality as House of cards was.

They've added "Add to list" on the UK site but not the apps.

I suppose everyone could spoiler code all comments with the episode number. Would make for a strange thread.

Why would Netflix launch anywhere and not include the ability to compile a queue? That's just basic. Their UI design philosophy is a mystery to me.

Yeah, I've never heard about the lack of queues before, that is weird. I couldn't image not having a queue, that seems like one of the most basic elements of the Netflix system.

Maybe queue-system is too integrated to their dvd-rental service, which they didnt launch in nordic countries. No idea.

I guess their recommendations mostly work ok, and there's always recently watched list. If I want to watch something later, I watch couple of seconds and then I can find it from Recently watched list and watch it later.

But I doubt that I miss release of Hemlock Grove. Atleast with release of House of Cards there was ad covering half of PS3 Netflix interface.

They're doing the same thing on my PS3 for Hemlock Grove.

They've released a new Red Band trailer, which contains "mild fornication, fillatio, lesbian necrophilia, violent hemoraging".

I just wanted to remind everyone else who plans on watching this that it is up tomorrow. I'm thinking I'll probably watch at least the first couple episodes tomorrow.

What is this thing called 'queues', and why do I suspiciously feel again that our Netflixes have so much less content?

I'm not sure if I'll bother with this one. On the one hand, I'd never sit down to watch an Eli Roth movie, but on the other hand, American Horror Story is a surprising amount of gleeful stupid fun. I'll probably wait for a couple of reviews.

Our content is vastly reduced from the US version, but many people use proxies to get the US service.

And some people also use proxies to get UK (Ireland?) version. You atleast used to have there some series/movies that arent available in either Nordic or US Netflixes.

Hemlock Grove is in Netflix now.. So probably will watch atleast couple of episodes today.

I'm on the third episode currently. Will probably be the last episode of the day. I'm finding it compelling enough to keep watching. Though probably won't be able to say if I think it's actually good until the end.

Just stopped by after watching the first episode to say that I enjoyed it. Nothing amazing, but it was still enjoyable and I'll be sticking with it.

The trailers for this look awful and the reviews are brutal. I'm curious to see how Netflix deals with this should it turn out to be a failure.

This is actually the one Netflix show that I'm mildly interested in checking out. I need a fix of fantasy in my life ever since I ran out of Supernatural episodes to watch.

Plus, I'm always a fan of Famke Janssen.

I watched the second episode, and I'm definitely going to finish the season, I'm very curious to see where they are going with the story.

I like Famke Janssen too, but I wish she'd be more consistent in her acting. Her character seemed to be all over the place.

I saw the first two episodes last night. I might watch more tonight, but certainly I'll knock off three more before the weekend is up. I like what I see so far.
