From anyone who went, was anything new by KRAD announced as he hinted at in the above post?

I think it's the Leverage book that has a thread about it already.

    I could be wrong though.

Yeah, I think you're wrong because the first post of that thread is talking about already reading it, so there's no way it was just announced this weekend.

Oh Ok. I didn't even read the thread, but I too was wondering what the KRAD announcement would be and when I saw that thread I assumed that was the announcement.

Hopefully KRAD can chime in sometime this week and tell us if he was allowed to announce it.

No problem, just wanted to avoid confusion--and plug the LEVERAGE books a little! :)

Getting back on topic, I was planning to announce the Kirk/Seven of Nine book at Shore Leave, but the news broke on-line ahead of time, beating me to the punch!

    What Kirk/Seven of Nine book?

Also, wonder if KRAD's hint has anything to do with returning to Trek

As I said earlier in this thread I highly doubt it. The high secrecy around the project doesn't really gel with how Trek releases are handled.

No, it wasn't announced. He was asked about it during Meet the Pros, and he said it was still in an unannounced state.

Afraid not, as I wasn't given the go-ahead to announce it. Still waiting for all the waterfowl to be in a straight line.

    Maybe Dragon Con....

I was able to reveal the audiobook cover for Spider-Man: Drowned in Thunder:

Which I think is a panel from just before the page Marco sent me way back when to show me what he had in mind tonally for the novel cover. So a nice convergence there.

I visited GraphicAudio's studio on Monday, and I'm going to be posting about that visit on my blog soon.

Cool. I really with Pocket would release that batch of Marvel novels as e-books. I read Road of Bones and Watchers on the Wall, but haven't gotten a hold of any of the others yet. I'm trying to go 100% digital and they're some of the only books I want to read I haven't found as e-books.

They may not be Pocket's to release. If the deal is anything like the deal Byron Preiss had with Marvel, the rights on those reverted to Marvel when the contract ran out. It's on Marvel to reissue them, not Pocket.

I didn't realize that. It probably would also explain why some of them seem to be kind of hard to find now.

Well, hey, if lots of people buy my audiobook, then GraphicAudio will get to do more Marvel novel adaptations, and maybe that will raise their profile enough that Marvel will reprint the novels. (Unfortunately I won't make any more money out of it, but I'd like to see my and others' Marvel novels get more exposure than they did the first time.)

Are they the ones who do full cast audio drama versions of the books?

Yep. They also adapted a bunch of my DC comics novelizations a few years back . . .
