According to her recent posts over on the insipid Twitter, I get the odd feeling she may be doing a guest/reoccurring role on Agent of SHIELD. Here are two tantalising photos of what she's wearing as a costume:

The dark navy blue jumpsuit and military boots gives me SHIELD vibes. She's 45 years old?!

That would be awesome if it were true.

Oh, they're getting her back into the skin tight super hero costume? Some things never change. :p

Exactly how many acting credits does she have? 45 (per IMDB)

Exactly how many required a catsuit? 1

ETA: SHIELD isn't listed on ACTRA's website as currently filming in Montreal.

Whatever she's doing, they've done a plaster caste of her pretty noggin, which may mean her character won't live to see the end credits.

Or it could mean she'll have some kind of prosthetic makeup. It's generally necessary to take a head cast as a basis for designing and building a prosthetic appliance that fits an actor's face.

That too as well, which makes me wonder what she signed up to play and why she'll need a "creature" mask. Here's her behind the scenes photo:

You know, I'm surprised they still use plaster casts for that, instead of a laser scan to build a computer model of the head which could then be 3D printed. I know the technology for the latter exists, and it's bound to be a lot easier on the subject and a lot quicker.

I spot a bottle marked "zombie blood" in another forum: Jeri's character is not going to make it.

Jeri Ryan as a comic villain would be interesting. ;)

And judging from her recent Twitter update I still get the horrible feeling that - between her soldier role and the head cast - her most recent character is not going to live (and also reminded of David Warner and Louis Del Grande, if you know what I mean).

Been watching the show and enjoying it thus far. Hope she makes an appearance--it's always nice to see a familiar face in a new scifi show.

Well if it's like most comics death is but a minor inconvenience that is easily overcome, so even if she dies, it may yet be retconned. ;)
