Guess who’s back? Back again to cause chaos! Yep, that’s right, the USS Kumari is back, bigger and better than before! It’s been six months since the USS Kumari fought the Romulans and rescued Captain Colburn from a Romulan prison. However, the crew were lucky to get out of Romulan space alive and the Luna Class vessel was heavily damaged. With the ship dry docked for extensive repairs the Kumari crew dispersed. Some moved to different assignments, others took a well earned break. Captain Colburn spent the time healing both physically and mentally after his brutal treatment at the hands of the Tal Shiar. Now, Captain Jack Colburn has been given a clean bill of health and put back on the active duty list. His new assignment is to continue working with the Klingon empire against the Sovereignty of Kahless (SoK), who still pose a great threat against the Empire as well the Federation. With his old ship still years away from being back in service, Starfleet decided to make a bold statement and give Colburn the newest ship of the line, an Odyssey Class vessel, with special dispensation to name her **USS Kumari**. The year is 2399 and Starfleet has begun to explore the Delta Quadrant. It's been 7 years since the stable Terix Gateway was activated and the Federation began sending resources through. The Terix Gateway was a joint venture between the Romulan Star Empire and Starfleet. It uses a blackhole, located in the Terix system in Romulan space, to power the gateway and open the rift which allows vessels to pass through safely. Although needing three months to fully charge, this allows fairly regular contact with the Alpha and Beta Quadrants to allow for supplies and crew transfers to happen on a fairly regular basis. A Embassy Class Starbase, which would act as Starfleet's Headquarters for their operations in the Delta Quadrant, was transported through the gateway and assembled on the other side. After two years, Deep Space 18 became fully operational. Rear Admiral Rex McCormick took command in 2397 with orders to stabilise Starfleet's presence in the Delta Quadrant. Things were going well until recent encounters with the Voth, as well as an increase in Borg and Hirogen activity in the region and keeping a close eye on their Romulan allies. Over a decade after the most devastating attack on Federation soil since the Dominion War, Starfleet has changed. Gone are the carefree days of scientific exploration and diplomatic overtures. Instead, the Federation has sealed its borders and limits contact with those beyond them, its mighty fleet aggressively protects vast swathes of territory from threats both internal and external. With a focus on developing Starfleet into a stronger military presence, technological advancements have significantly enhanced the operational capacity of vessels that are long past their usual hull life. But there is a longing inside every Starfleet officer; a yearning to be out among the stars and exploring the cosmos. For the first time since 2385, a petition to open a new front of exploration is considered by the Federation Council. Endorsed by Vice Admiral Noah Ramsey of Starfleet Command, and supported by Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy herself, the petition sought permission to divert a small task group of Starfleet vessels to the Gamma Quadrant for the first time since the armistice that was agreed at the end of the Dominion War. The task group would begin initial exploration efforts around the mouth of the wormhole in the Idran system of the quadrant, and would ensure the terms of the treaty were being respected. An area of the galaxy neglected after the war, the Federation Council granted the petition and authorised the creation Gamma Exploration Command, initially to operate out of Deep Space Nine until such a time as a location for a headquarters could be identified in the Gamma Quadrant itself. Gamma Exploration Command was officially activated on stardate 76414.72 (June 1st, 2399) under the command of Vice Admiral Ramsey himself. Gamma Exploration Command is a Star Trek RPG group designed with a focus on exploring the Gamma Quadrant. Whilst most simulations in the group are geared towards this mission, we also have space for those simulations that don’t necessarily fit into our universe, time period or reality. Is there a USS Churchill sim somewhere? I was recommended that one by someone on my current sim. I have 2 genetically engineered characters (not Augments, just made more attractive and amorous) I need to move from Pegasus fleet. I'm a 10+ year sim veteran, with good grammar and writing. The two characters are currently chief engineers. I'd prefer a sim on a Galaxy or Sovereign if possible.

I'm starting a sim called the USS Andromeda. It's based in a core Trek universe (TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, first ten movies) expanded with Franz Josef, some FASA, and removing some elements (no Warp 10 Voyager, no Spock's Brain, etc.), and a few fan expansions, mostly to add new ships and new aliens to encounter.
