There's also Vegetarian Stig aka Janet Stig Porter, Italian Stig, and Tiff Needell has been introduced in the USA Special as "Emergency Stig" when there wasn't an actual Stig available

Lord, the latest was pretty terrible though. I didn't find the car chase bit that interesting. So obviously scripted most of the time.

Then again, I did like James' hatch reviews.

Surprisingly sensitive (well, in their inimitable way) bit on mobility scooters....

Next week's Star In The Reasonably Priced Car, BTW, is Matt Smith...

The mobility scooters was a great bit, hilariously laugh out loud stuff apart from a couple bits where it seemed noticeably set-up, unlike last weeks car chase filming, which rapidly devolved into unfunny slapstick. But you can't help but think Hammond might have won had he not had to keep going back to rescue James and Jeremy.

BBC America is billing tonight's episode as the beginning of the "final lost season".

But, the description seems to indicate the start of S2, so where the heck is S1?

    ^ Anything's possible

I wonder if BBCA doesn't want to pay royalties to him, assuming they're separate enough from the BBC for that to be possible.

Man, those pictures from Spain were quite shocking. Of course I'm sure they searched out those places specifically, but still, that was crazy.

This series has been fantastic so far. The Spain episode last night was excellent and I was drooling over that street circuit.

I wasn't that fussed by the second episode - Hammond's wacky races don't entertain very much - but otherwise it's been excellent. The Spain feature was very good.

I was grinning and laughing all the way through the show. Benedict Cumberbatch! This episode is a return to form.

The Hovervan was brilliant, but I have to question how they got permission for that.

I'm guessing most (all?) of it was staged. Like the guy in the boat was most likely a stuntman.

Non the less, it was still hilarious.

The Spain ep was stunning, all those empty buildings, streets, suburbs, even in Madrid. Wow. As Hammond said, I had no idea the GFC hit that hard over there.
