Do we know yet just how big of a role he's playing? I'd been assuming it was probably going to be a fairly small supporting role, while the movie mainly focuses on Cap, Black Widow, and The Winter Soldier.

In Avengers, Black Widow looked really tough. But in all the pics and clips I've seen she looks kind of on the weak and frail side. I don;t know that's the vibe I'm getting.

It's because they make patriotism and self sacrifice seem noble and not ridiculous like you see in Michael Bay movies.

It also helps that they found the perfect actor for the role.. Evans really makes Captain America work which is the main point given the absolute ridiculous comicbook over the topness of the first movie (Nazi's with a Rad Skull and superweapons.. only in comicbooks ).

I think the big thing is they managed to make Captain America seem more universal, which is a hard thing to do. Granted, it's easier if you make your values the opposite of the Nazi party. But, if you think about it, he's a character created to silence pacifists and build up support for war, so he had to go a long way to overcome this jingoism.

It seems that a clip of Batroc the Leaper was not deemed Super Bowl-worthy. The guy just gets no respect at all.

Commercial break between the pregame show and the start of "America the Beautiful," I think. It was before kickoff.
