I did that deliberately.

The animal's colors in the source image created some problems. Although the cat was a different color altogether in TAS, I realized I could solve those problems by matching to the landscape, and it seemed plausible as crypsis in this setting (as if the power-cat in TAS was from a different part of the planet).

It was difficult for me to gage what effect this would have on the audience, though. Perhaps I should rethink that!

I'd also like to take one more stab at the rock mask, and maybe try to add some more static electricity in the scene.

Yes. However, I believe that Maurice's constructive criticism is quite valid. I intend the next version that I'm working on now to take that into account.

I'm curious about something

Can somebody do a picture with Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, and Chekov in TNG (season 1 & 2) uniforms, and a picture of Picard, Riker, Data, LaForge, Crusher, Worf, and so on from Season 1 in the TOS uniforms?

 

I was gonna put the other 4 in but I'm too lazy.

Riddler-Kirk is my favorite.

 

I like the Bay Area Rapid Transit one a lot. The D7 with the handicap parking placard is pretty funny.

I made this for the Starships Model Magazine thread, but figured I may as well post it here too. It's harder than I thought it would be getting that tiny little model to look bigger. Not sure I pulled it off completely, but not too bad bad for a first try.
