They did release that box set, although it lacked the vast majority of the special features so was a pointless release for hardcore fans.

As much as I love the first Predator Movie, that franchise can't compete at all with Alien.

I haven't gone Blu yet, but All the talk this week made me revisit a few of the films on my Quad set.

Since they are still making both Alien and Predator movies, I would have to say that they did not.

Just watched the uncut version of the Alien 3 documentary and I found it... unremarkable. I mean, the documentary is good, it gives an honest and candid portrayal of the difficulties making the film, but the restored footage is basically Fincher cursing FOX on camera.

At the time it was complete, but I see what you mean.

Are the documentaries on the new set any different to the ones on the quad set?

I wonder if they'll repackage it later on with the two prequels. At least they're not putting the Alien vs. Predator movies in there.

I have a feeling the two prequels will be considered their own series.

We'll probably have 4 separate sets. It'll be something like this:

    Alien Prequels
    Alien: The Ripley Chronicles
    Alien vs. Predator Series
    Predator Series

Speaking of... has there been any kind of rumblings about a sequel to 'Predators'? Did it do well enough to justify such a thing?

^More to the point, what will they call it? Predators 2, Predator 4 or Humans vs Predators and maybe some Aliens 6? ;)

    "More Predators"

    "Too Many Predators"

"Predators Again? But I Had Them Last Night!"

    "Predators: The Revenge"

(I think adding "The Revenge" to the title of a sequel should happen more often. Just saying.)

I thought Rodriguez was already talking about making a sequel called PREDATORS 2. But perhaps I'm confusing talk from before the release of PREDATORS with post-release sequel chatter.

I could go either way on a sequel, honestly. PREDATORS was good a 'meat and potatoes' action SF movie, but it was hardly outstanding. Unless a unique environment or some other twist can be applied to the franchise (and, as fun as Aliens and Predators in the same movie should have been, two tries has shown that idea to be more than played out) why bother?

Sorry to 'zombify' this, but the Alien blu-ray films will be out individually this May.

Hopefully some online rental place will be able to carry them, then-they're missing from Blockbuster and Netflix (Although Netflix does have an HD stream of Aliens, I'm pretty sure it's not the same).
