Is this the only 2015 book we know about? Isn't this about the time of year where we start learning about what's coming in early 2015?
thetrekcollective.com has a sub-site where all confirmed and rumored novels for 2015 (and beyond) are listed: http://www.thetrekcollective.com/p/2015-star-trek-publication-schedule.html Since beyond DS9: The Missing (January release) nothing has been given a release date yet you have to scroll down to Undetermined, everything above it are German releases. Here's a list of the books listed there, for more information on where the listings are coming from please go to the link above. Also note that the rumored titles are far from confirmed yet (especially the New Frontier one): Voyager: Atonement (2015), Kirsten Beyer Voyager novel (2015/16), Kirsten Beyer Aventine novel (2015), John Jackson Miller TNG: Armageddon's Arrow (2015), Dayton Ward Rise of the Federation: Uncertain Logic (2015); Christopher L. Bennett Rise of the Federation #4 (2015/2016), Christopher L. Bennett TOS novel (rumored), James Swallow Titan novel (rumored), James Swallow Seekers #3 (2015/2016), David Mack Seekers #4 (2015/2016), Dayton Ward & Kevin Dilmore David R. George III novel (2015/16) TOS novel (rumored), Greg Cox Section 31 novel (rumored), David Mack New Frontier novel (rumored), Peter David
I know it's only a rumour, but there's talk of another Section 31 novel? Is this going to be planned as an ongoing series for now on?
I recently listened to a podcast interview with David Mack he mentioned wanting to write another Section 31 novel that would be a sequel to Disavowed .He mentioned some hints about the books and their storylines. I'm Sorry I can't remember which podcast the interview was found.I think it was literary treks.
The Back-cover blurb for Armageddon’s Arrow has been posted. http://daytonward.wordpress.com/2014/11/01/back-cover-text-for-armageddons-arrow/ https://catalog.simonandschuster.com/TitleDetails/TitleDetails.aspx?cid=1304&isbn=9781476782690
Ooh, new region of space, a mysterious alien ship with a hidden agenda and even a bit of the timey-wimey thrown in. All the makings of a Trek classic!
It sounds great, but the last few things by either Dayton himself or the stuff he did with Kevin were not that great. I loved their work on Vanguard, but Paths Of Disharmony and Peaceable Kingdoms were not that stellar IMO. Still good, but not as good as their Vanguard novels. And the second Seeker novel also didn't quite do it for me.
Yeah, I agree. I was especially disappointed in Peaceable Kingdoms. Still, this sounds like it could be a solid, old-school romp. I'll give it a shot.
This one does sound good. It'll be a nice change of pace to get a more old fashioned strange new world story after so many stories focused on the galactic politics. I love that stuff, but sometimes it's nice to get something different.
Indeed. After all, the DTI don't have to be involved in the actual story, but they would almost certainly get an after action report on the matter once everything is resolved.
For UK fans who wish to pre-buy this, BD have it for £4.57. It won't stay that way so grab it while it's going! http://www.bookdepository.com/Star-Trek-Next-Generation-Armageddons-Arrow-Dayton-Ward/9781476782690
Paths of Disharmony was surprising boring in parts given the set-up. Peaceable Kingdoms was a crushing disappointment, an amazing 4 book set-up wasted with a stupid get out and weak action. Seekers 2 was ok. I will see what the reviews are for this.
The recent The Captain's Table podcast episode, with lots of info about future Star Trek novels, had little about Armageddon's Arrow. However, Pocket Books editor Margaret Clark stated that Armageddon's Arrow would feature the return of some technology from the 23rd century. http://www.thetrekcollective.com/2015/01/books-bits-margaret-clark-teases-2015.html
