You doing a re-watch or is this your first watch through?

"The Ultimate Computer" - TOS Remastered.

This time I tried to pay more attention to the new CGI starships to look for details I missed in earlier viewings. I wish they'd shown a little more of the new CGI Constitution-class vessels and in closer detail, but the Remastered war games and battle sequences do look a lot better than the originals and much more dynamic.

"The Alternative Factor". Yes, the episode I feel is the worst episode of TOS ever made. It was on MeTV last night and since I'll watch a Cat and Dog fight as long as it's prefaced with "Star TreK" I watched it.

It's one of my favorites, partly due to the solid makeup work done to the cast. Great story, too.

I'll go out on a limb here and say that McCoy's old age makeup in 1967 was better and more effective than his old age prosthetics more than twenty years later in "Encounter at Farpoint (TNG)." De Kelley in "The Deadly Years" looked legitimately frail and decrepit (not that he didn't look old and bedraggled in the TNG premiere, but that looked a bit more like studio makeup than the TOS face that was done on a much, much smaller and restrictive budget).

Agreed. It felt more believable in "TDL" than it did "EAF."

Really great performances here from Shat and Majel. I also particularly enjoy when Ted Cassidy's Ruk voice starts to sound too much like Balok when he's shouting. :rommie:

The one that aired. I don't have blu-ray, but that extended version sounds really cool!

The last episode I watched was "What You Leave Behind" from DS9. DS9 is my favorite Trek.:)

^ I see that Robert O'Reilly was in that episode (as one of the casino counters). Unfortunately he did not say "Glory to you....and THE HOOOOOOOUUUUUSE!!!!!"
