At least two houses lost in a bushfire near St Helens on Tasmania's East Coast.

I think it is going to be a very bad season this year.

^ When his panel was on ... I was looking at my phone, as I looked at filmink mag. Saw a friend post a picture ... and was too lazy to get up.

The weekend was different for me. Wasn't the best con.

I had a great time and I'm going to do a nice Stargate post in the Sf&F forum when I get my pics together because of all my Stargate peeps. I missed Mira Furlan which I regret, wasn't paying attention. But otherwise I enjoyed how LINE FREE my time was. 5 minutes to buy a ticket, 1 minute to buy a token, 5 minutes to get a pic with the beautiful Mr. Hewlett. Didn't get any others, would not have gotten any if it wasn't for Mr. Hewlett :adore:

And had a great time chatting with folk too.

Buying tickets for pictures online is so much better. They were very popular.

In other news - former PM Gough Whitlam has died.

Should see if Abbott has any decency in him and offers a state funeral - afterall lying rodent gave one to Kerry Packer.

It could be Abbott's way of thanking Whitlam for his free tertiary education.

I just read the news about Gough. 98 years old, I thought he would get to 100.

He was only PM for less than 3 years but he certainly changed Australian society during those three years (for the better in my opinion).

Yes, Whitlam changed Australia for the (much) better. A shame we don't have leaders like him today. He wasn't perfect by any means, but I am so glad he was there. Imagine what could have been done if the Libs hadn't been the arseholes they were. At least Fraser looks at things differently now, something I couldn't have imagined in the 70s and 80s.

    A great Australian.

Apparently if your a muslim woman and wear the nigab you're just the same as a member of the KKK or a bikie according to the well known brain trust called Faceless. In fact the only difference between the KKK and muslims is the colour of their garb.

Women wearing niqabs have to show their faces to security before thet are allowed into parliament so I can't see that they are any sort of risk.

When we heard "Serenity now!" yelled out from the back of Parliament I think I did piss myself laughing.

No Seinfeld fan, but I did LOL as well. Saw part of this on 'Insiders' this morning.

I feel dirty. I never agree with Alan Jones, but he did say fracking on Qlld farmland was a bad idea, and I have seen no evidence to the contrary. Shower now.

Wife watches A Current Affair. What a ghastly pile of dreck that show is. "Quick! Someone's crying! Get a close up!"
