Spider-Man movie (casting, rumors, pix till release)

Think it's a little early to be discussing future titles. I like the name, thought they would go in this direction. I also like Peter's mask. Can't wait for a trailer now.

 

They'll follow the route of The Fast and the Furious.

One of the sequels will just be called S-Man.

I'd like them to consider using alternate names for the character to name the sequel, like what was done with The Dark Knight. So, Web-Slinger, Wall-Crawler, and so on.

 

Peter Parker goes through a really dark emo-stage during/along with the symbiote suit and becomes a big-time heroin user causing much of his circulatory system plumbing to collapse.

Giving us Spiderveins-Man!

Not surprised by the title as it has been rumored to be the title for at least a year or so.

 

I was personally predicting "Ultimate Spider-Man".

 

See, I don't care for that title at all.

It works for the comic, considering the comic line is titled "Ultimate" and other comics in the line are "Ultimate ______".

As a movie, what would that actually mean? Ultimate Spider-Man. Is there another Spider-Man who isn't coming out on top? Granted, it is an adjective like Amazing and Spectacular, but it suggests something different than the latter two from my perspective.

Then again, what's in a name?

 

Indeed. My reasoning was because this movie seems to be taking an "Ultimate" approach given Bendis's discussions and consultation with Sony last summer.

 

I appreciate your reasoning, but a movie actually called "Ultimate..." anything to me sounds just a bit smug.

 

Fair enough.

 

Ultimate would only make sense as an end to a series of movies.

This seems like someone new (as in newly created for the movie). I can't think of anyone Italian in any incarnation of Spider-Man.

I'd like it if the films had subtitles, so this one could be The Amazing Spider-Man: Night of the Lizard, and the sequel The Amazing Spider-Man: The Madness of Mysterio something like that.

 

No subtitles please. They're so not necessary in this case.
