Says the Guardian. Sky Real Lives will go HD (yes, boring, I know) and they will add HD versions of Sky Movies Sci-Fi, Drama, Action, Comedy, Modern Greats and Family.
Kinda shows the different directions TV is taking. Virgin say they're not launching any more linear HD channels and concentrating on HD VoD. Sky launching HD versions of their existing channels. All the while they keep cutting bitrates to squeeze more and more channels on the transponders, so by the time HD becomes the norm it won't look any better than SD because the bitrate will be so incredibly poor it'll be pixelated half the time.
