PICTURE POST II!

Awesome! Congrats--I'm jealous--you met Professor Proton!! I'm so glad Bob Newhart got a recurring guest spot on that show. Anyway, what fun. Epic--sitting in Sheldon's spot.

 

My workplace (well, one of them). I was barely able to drive out of the parking lot.

 

So cold you leave the beer out, eh? Oh, wait, they already did.

 

Today wasn't even that cold. I don't think it ever dropped below 30. Just lots and lots of snow!

 

But why would anyone go into the bar when there's a giant bucket of beer there, free for the taking?

 

The ambience?

 

So I did some experimenting the past couple of days (in terms of where I was to take photos) ... a few of the results:

TheSeeker, truth be told, I really don't get out nearly as often as I would like to take photos (maybe once or twice a month at this rate). But this weekend I went upstate to see family. And since I was a passenger in the car, I figured I'd see what I could capture out the window as we headed up the Thruway at 70mph - which offers some interesting views. The snow certainly helped give everything a bit of personality. But I wish I'd set my shutter speed even faster than the 1/2000th of a second I ended up using (it's tough to tell, in camera, just how sharp the images are). I wound up with some decent shots, but I'd have had even more had I jacked the shutter speed up even further. Still, it was an interesting experiment that I'll try again sometime.

Because our beer is better on draft.
