Say your ship has been tractored in by the borg, and the queen singles you out to be her counterpart, but you have to give yourself over willingly? Would you resist in the face of almost certain assimilation? Or would you become king to her queen? I've often thought about what it's like to be part of the borg, and honestly, I'd say as I'm one of the few with some modicrum of individuality and a lot of control (which i'm assuming the offer entails), i'd find it very hard to pass up. What about you?
No chance. If I agree to her terms, she will assimilate my crew regardless. As a Borg, I can no longer explore or enjoy my personal pursuits: guitar, works of fiction, my family, my wife's body. Borg life is so exceedingly dull, they must all want to slit their wrists if only to see a little color.
No chance in hell. I'd give the middle finger to the Borg every step of the way. If the Borg ever got my cooperation, it wouldn't be willingly. As far as I'm concerned, it's a lose/lose situation, so I'll at least take the loss where I go down with some small amount of dignity.
I'd commit Geordi's impossible shape to memory, and then say yes. Of course it would work. Of course it would.
There's no reason to trust the Borg. Even if the Queen says she'll make you her King, she is probably lying. She'll assimilate you like she would any drone. And even if she was on the level, I still wouldn't do it.
My response to any such 'offer' from the Borg Queen: *clears throat* 'Ahem, kiss my pink fleshy arse, skraeiling' Though I'm curious as to hearing from the people who voted yes to question.
