hmmm, the palms against glass bit from Wrath of Khan. Still think it's Garth. Garth just seems to fit better story wise to me.

 

Please no. I don't want it to be Khan, but I'll take him a thousand time over over...ugh.

 

I hope they don't kill Spock in a way like with TWOK

 

It's almost impossible to know the context of the shot, but it looks like whoever is on the nearside of the glass is doing worse than the one the blue uniform.

 

That would explain his strength if he's half-Vulcan. I'm not sure what he would be taking vengeance over though...and I doubt TPTB want any connection to *that* movie.

 

I think it'd be Garth before it'd be Khan. Garth's encounter with the Antosians from whom he learned cellular metamorphosis and gained great strength could easily have happened in both timelines and in both he could have gone from a great Starfleet hero at Axanar to an outcast and criminal.

I still lean towards Mitchell, though...especially if that's Dehner in the trailer. That haircut says so much to a Trekker.

 

I dunno...maybe the utter destruction of Vulcan?

Wouldn't he then be pissed off at Nero and Romulans in general? This can't be another "I'm mad at you because you didn't stop my planet from getting blown up" motive.

 

So, Kirk at podium + missing man fly over = Enterprise called back to Earth for Pike's funeral?

 

So I assume one of you has watched all 16 editions of the trailer on the official site to see if any others contain something extra?

 

It's possible Eve plays Carol Marcus, but with a twist. Instead of Dr. Dehner teaming up with Mitchell, it's Carol Marcus that does making it very personal for Kirk.

 

I always thought that the "little blonde lab technician" Kirk and Mitchell knew in the 2250s in the Prime timeline was supposed to be Carol Marcus. They all probably shared a bit of history together in the original Trek universe so I wouldn't be surprised in the least if all three were connected in the altered history as well.

 

I'm excited to see the Klingons that Cumberbatch is fighting at :20.

 

Once again, the Klingons serve no other purpose than to show us how tough the bad guy is.

 

How can you tell they are Klingons.
