Chunky and badass-looking. :) I always did like the design, and you've done a great job bringing it to 3D. Great work!

Satisfy my curiosity for this gorgeous design here... have you by chance laid out a cross-section? What do you reckon she needs in terms of crew? How many decks (I count 7, possibly 8)? And while I'm at it, speed/armements?

You can tell I dig this design because I want to know mooooore. ;)

    Thanks :D

I honestly don't give it that much thought. Never did a cross section and don't have a clue about crew size at this time. No idea about decks either. I figure it can atleast go warp nine and for weapons it carries 1 forward torpedoe/probe launcher and two in back. And eight phaser emmiters. Four forward and four aft.

    UPDATE...
While going through all my unfinished files thinking about what to do next I came acroos my old Klingon ship. The Bird of Honor. I rebuilt the neck and started to add more detail.

Here is close up of some of the newer details that I’ve added.

The design as stated on the ortho is by Rutgar Warrink. And It is an old design that's been around for awhile.
So since this guy made his own version I'm not bothered by it because I have't made my ship available to the public.

Ah fair enough, I thought I read somewhere it was an old design so I didn't immediately start shooting shit.

Such realistic lighting and textures!

The combinations of flat shapes are very effective. I can almost picture it being welded today from stock metal plates.

It wouldn't look out of place flying in Egypt.

    UPDATE...
Not really sure what I want to work on so I’ve just been messing around. I did a little texture work on the U.S.S Pierce.

    UPDATE...
This is part of another ship the U.S.S claymore. I’ve added some hatches in the bridge socket and thought I check how my shuttle looks with it. First thing I noticed is the airlock is small so I resized it and it still looks good.
Didn’t really do anything here but I wanted to check the airlock size on this ship and they are also to small so I resized the ones near the bridge. The one on the secondary hull will either need to be rebuilt or just done away with.

    UPDATE...
Started to work on the textures for the saucer. I’ve decided that these ships will carry no signage of any kind since they work for section 31.

Thought I'd come back and do some work on the U.S.S. Pierce. I played with some textures and made a few changes.

    Wait, what?
hey man, very nice work. I was wondering, could I use the pod and pylon design on a ship I'm working on. I've been trying to find the correct reference material, and this design fits perfectly.

    so... may I?
