If you were on the Enterprise D, what would you do?

First I'd set course for Mars, pick up random stuff from around the ship, and beam it down to the planet to really screw with Rover. After that, set a course and see whats out there.

 

Berate TPTB for ripping off a poor TOS episode.

 

First I'd have the computer takeover every television satellite and then broadcast in every language:
"People of Earth. This is God. And I'm very dissappointed in you."

That would require a thorough and complete physical examination of each lifeform as they come aboard.
Silicone-based bad. Silicone-enhanced (or saline enhanced) good. Naturally enhanced better.
